"winds of peace for the families of Syria"

The 'Serie A' Football League, in cooperation with the National Olympic Committee, has decided to join the initiative of the Pontifical Council for the Family and the Italian Caritas for Syria, on the occasion of the first day of the return of the championship, January 18th and 19th. The ten Italian club hosts are: Atalanta, Bologna, Catania, Chievo Verona, Genoa, Juventus, AC Milan, Sassuolo, Roma, Udinese.

A banner with the inscription 'Winds of peace for the families of Syria' was exposed at the center of the field.

An ad of Frederick and Elisa Greek Fazzuoli with images of refugee camps in Lebanon was simultaneously broadcast on giant screens.

A new session of negotiations on Syria began Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in Switzerland. The talks are an opportunity to turn the "winds of war into the winds of peace'', in a conflict that in two years has caused an extremely high number of casualties, millions of refugees in all neighboring countries, and destroyed more than a million families.
