Many Steps

"All of us breathe in the same air and step on the same ground"

A short film that shows the oneness of mankind

Two years ago, 39-year old Japanese filmmaker Onitsuka Tiger Takayuki Akachi decided to create a film with an unusual star: a pair of Mexico 66's, running shoes first made in the '60's. The result is a video/trip through various continents, where Akachi captures many faces, environments, habits and cultural expressions. The filmmaker then puts them all together in a 3-minute, 15 second display that tells the story of places near and far, showing the infinte and beauty-filled diversity of humankind, all to the rhythm of the footsteps of the people he meets along the way.
